October 24th - Our second full day in Prague.

I got up early because I couldn't sleep... 9 hour difference does that I suppose. And went out to take some early morning photos. Here are a couple.

Sarah and I had breakfast and then walked up to Prague Castle for a tour. Seeing sites like that is always incredible; but we have low tolerance for large tour groups so we usually quit early.

We rode the metro (gotta love public transportation) back into the city center for lunch back at our favorite restaurant (cabbage soup and pig's leg! Except no pig's leg this time).

We then went to the Tyn Cathedral and walked back up into Josefov (Yo-sef-ohv) for a tour of the Spanish Synagogue. On the way we saw a bride and groom taking a carriage ride (or is it bride and bride?? We weren't sure... you decide). And while I was taking this photo, saw a taxi driver park, get out, walk up to the wall of a building and relieve himself. We learned two things from this experience: 1.) never shake the hand of a taxi driver, and 2.) even a tux can't make a mullet look good.

For dinner we got a recommendation from a local to get out of the city center and take a bus east toward an area called Zizkov (zsh-ee-zsh-kov) where the food is less touristy. So we boarded the #133 and went into the area of Prague that most people don't see. It was great food, and very interesting, but we definitely stood out a lot more there.

We headed back for an early night in because we planned to get up at 4:30am and head up to the castle to film some stock footage for a short film I want to put together (when would we get a chance for footage like that in the US!?)
